What is the Job role?

We are looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated professional to provide 1:1 classroom support to one of our amazing Year 6 pupils who has Global development delay, Cerebral Palsy Quadriplegia, Dystonia and Epilepsy. This young man also uses AAC communication through eye-gaze and uses an electric wheelchair for mobility.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding communicator who is able to establish a trusting relationship through their nurturing and holistic approach; taking in to account the child’s communication, sensory, academic and social needs.

As a creative individual, you will utilise the exceptional outdoor space and learning resources Sherbourne has to offer in order to explore and engage our pupil in the development of their communication, interaction and emotional regulation skills as set out in their EHCP. You will work alongside a range of external agencies along with our experienced and dedicated Teachers, to plan and provide learning and care for this very special young man through our high-quality curriculum. You will be instrumental in enabling this pupil to access and achieve throughout their learning journey at Sherbourne Fields.
