As Transport Co-ordinator you will lead a team of 4 experienced and dedicated drivers ensuring the journey for pupils to and from school is safe; reliable and enjoyable. We transport approximately 60 pupils daily on our school minibuses - with a further 80 pupils accessing school via the Coventry City Council Transport Department.

As the main point of contact for school transport, you will liaise with families and members of the Coventry City Council Transport Department to ensure the pupils are placed on the most suitable bus routes.

You must be able to demonstrate the following key attributes and also possess a D1 Driving licence.

  • Excellent time keeping and reliability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A common sense approach
  • The ability to problem solve effectively
  • A ‘can do’ attitude

In addition to this, with many day trips taking place each week, you will be responsible for managing the trips using the school software package, arranging driver overtime where necessary, setting up the buses in readiness for trips to take place, plotting the best route and and keeping a record of drivers and trip destinations using our excel worksheet.

As the Transport Co-ordinator, you will also be a designated minibus driver taking pupils out on various school trips, whilst also assisting with the class activity supporting the class team as and when required.

You must also be willing to undertake MiDAS driver training, as part of your employment.

You will need to be over 25 years of age and hold a full clean driving licence for a minimum of three years.
